Rate questions, answered

Why are Yemeni and Sudanese more expensive?
Both are specialist dialects with limited UK interpreter pools. Sudanese in particular is rare. The £5–10/hr premium reflects scarcity, not arbitrary uplift.
Do you accept legal aid?
Yes — on direct instruction from solicitors. CRM7/CRM8 attendance notes provided. Payment terms remain 30 days net.
Do you charge VAT?
Not currently — turnover is below the VAT registration threshold. Should this change, registered firms will receive proper VAT invoices.
Why is there a 3-hour minimum for court work?
Court attendance involves travel, listing uncertainty, and frequent overrun. The 3-hour minimum is standard across NRPSI-aligned practitioners.
What happens if the hearing overruns?
Time over the booked duration is charged pro-rata in 30-minute increments at the same hourly rate.
Do you provide a written quote?
Yes — one-line written quote by email for any booking, before you confirm.
