CTC-cleared Arabic interpreter available for urgent Schedule 7 and Section 41 instruction.
๐ +44 7305 742888What is a Schedule 7 examination?
Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 confers powers on examining officers at UK ports, airports, and international rail terminals to stop, question, and search individuals without requiring reasonable suspicion of an offence. The examination may last up to six hours. An individual examined under Schedule 7 is not under arrest but has no right to leave, must answer questions, and must provide biometric data and access to devices if required.
Where the individual does not adequately understand English, the examining officer must arrange an interpreter. The interpreter must hold appropriate security clearance for the setting. For counter-terrorism contexts, Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance is the minimum standard. My CTC clearance is valid to September 2030.

Why CTC clearance matters for this work
Counter Terrorist Check is a UK government security vetting level conferred by the Disclosure and Barring Service and the Security Service. It requires detailed personal history checks, financial vetting, and close associates screening. Interpreters without CTC clearance cannot be present at certain classified briefings, cannot access certain sensitive materials, and should not be used for Schedule 7 or Section 41 work in practice.
My CTC clearance (valid to September 2030) is the same level required by HMCTS for sensitive court proceedings and by the Home Office for cleared personnel in sensitive interview settings.
Arabic dialects for counter-terrorism matters
Counter-terrorism proceedings in the UK involve Arabic speakers from a wide range of regional backgrounds. Dialect accuracy is as critical in this context as in any other legal setting โ and in terrorism trials, where the meaning of specific words and ideological formulations may be determinative, it is more so.
My specialist tiers are Yemeni Arabic and Sudanese Arabic โ both limited-pool dialects in the UK. For Iraqi, Syrian, Gulf, Kuwaiti, and Modern Standard Arabic, see the respective dialect pages.
How to instruct directly
Direct instruction is available from police forces, the Crown Prosecution Service, counter-terrorism units, chambers, and defence solicitors. For police station or custody suite bookings, call directly. For court or prosecution instruction, use the booking form or email.
