Sudanese Arabic is a rare-dialect tier in UK legal interpreting, and misassignment is common — a booking marked simply 'Arabic' regularly produces an interpreter who cannot follow a Sudanese speaker at natural pace.
Sudanese Arabic carries substantial vocabulary from Nubian and other regional languages, and its phonology diverges sharply from both Levantine and Gulf varieties. A speaker of either will understand a good deal and lose the rest.
In asylum work this matters most where a client's claimed origin is itself in issue. Regional markers within Sudanese speech can support or undermine a stated region of origin, and that is a question worth putting to an interpreter who knows the variety.

£65 per hour remote, one-hour minimum, all dialects. £85 per hour in person UK-wide, three-hour minimum. Specialist varieties are not charged at a premium — they are the practice.
