Interviews under caution, voluntary interviews, custody and ID procedures — dialect-accurate interpreting that stands up to later scrutiny.
Code C of PACE requires that a suspect who does not speak English is interviewed through an interpreter — and the evidential value of that interview depends entirely on dialect accuracy. An interview conducted through a mismatched dialect is vulnerable to challenge under s.76 and s.78 PACE 1984.

Clearances
CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) clearance valid to September 2030 and a current Enhanced DBS — suitable for all police settings including counter-terrorism matters (see Schedule 7).
For custody staff and defence representatives
If the detainee is Yemeni or Sudanese, confirm the interpreter's actual dialect before interview — not just “Arabic”. Registration is verifiable on the public NRPSI register. Same-day and out-of-hours requests can often be accommodated by phone or WhatsApp.
